The shortest dictionary definition that I found, stated that the Seraphim are six winged angels that surround the throne of God. Another definition stated that the Seraphim are the highest class of celestial beings within the whole Christian Angelic Hierarchy. The best one that I discovered, and one that I would encourage others to use, states that the Seraphim are six winged angels that circle God's throne, while locked in eternal song praising the Lord.
