Helen from Minsk Belarus just sent me the following question. She asked what is the best physical Seraphim description? To find the best physical description of the Seraphim, one needs only to turn to the very first portion of scripture where they are mentioned, which is Isaiah Chapter 6 verses 1 through 3. In these passages it states that the Seraphim angels hover around God's throne, singing to each the Trisagion, which is an eternal praise of God. It then goes on to state that each of the Seraphim have six wings, two to cover their face, two to cover their feet, and two to fly. Within later Jewish scripture, such as the exposition of the Jewish angelic hierarchy by Maimonides, the Seraphim are described as having a human like form, human like faces, and radiating a bright white light as they sing. Outside of scripture, there is a lot of fictional representations of the Seraphim, however most of these characters are quite inaccurate when compared to scripture.
