One of our guests named Kerri from Berlin Germany sent me the following question. She asked where Seraphim angels honored by the Roman Empire? The answer is yes, Seraphim angels were recognized and celebrated throughout both the Western and Eastern Roman Empire, obviously after they became Christian of course. With regard to various artistic representations, there are no early Western Roman Empire Seraphim related paintings, sculptures, or other works of art available. There are however many Seraphim artworks that were created within the Eastern Roman Empire or Byzantine Empire. In fact Byzantium is often called the Seraphim capital of the world, as some of the 14th century Seraphim mosaics and tapestries that were found in Constantinople are some of the best and earliest examples celebrating the angel. We definitely appreciate the question sent in to us by Kerri. If you have any other questions, then please email us.
