Travis from Miami Florida sent us the following question. He asked how many wings do the Seraphim angels have? The answer is six, the Seraphim angels have six wings, or three pairs of them. It is stated within Christian and Judaic scripture that the Seraphim use one pair of wings to cover their face, one pair of wings to cover their feet, and the remaining pair of wings they use to hover around God's throne. Out of all the winged celestial beings mentioned in the Bible, the Seraphim have the most wings, obviously setting them apart in stature from other lower order angels that only possess two wings, or a single pair. The Seraphim are sometimes confused with Cherubim, who are creatures that have four wings. We would like to thank Travis for mailing in his question.
